NEW JERSEY REJECTS WIND PROJECT OFF ATLANTIC CITY’S COAST

The Press of Atlantic City reports that the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities has rejected the Fishermen’s Energy proposal to construct a 25-megawatt offshore wind facility off the coast of Atlantic City.

The Nautilus proposal is clearly expensive relative to any traditional fossil fuel-fired resource, but also exceptionally expensive relative to a wide range of other commercially available renewable energy resources,” consultant David Dismukes wrote in testimony presented to the BPU in October.
