Press of Atlantic City: State rejects wind project off Atlantic City’s coast

The Press of Atlantic City reports that the New Jersey Board of Public Utilities has rejected the Fishermen’s Energy proposal to construct a 25-megawatt offshore wind facility off the coast of Atlantic City.

“The Nautilus proposal is clearly expensive relative to any traditional fossil fuel-fired resource, but also exceptionally expensive relative to a wide range of other commercially available renewable energy resources,” consultant David Dismukes wrote in testimony presented to the BPU in October.
